It's been awhile since we've heard from former NFL quarterback Joey Harrington but he is currently living in Oregon as an NFL analyst for Fox Sports Radio.
Yesterday, he was riding his bike around and was struck by a car and had spent time in the hospital. We get more from the Portland Tribune:
According to police, Harrington was riding a bicycle westbound on Southeast Foster Road at about 8:24 p.m. when he was struck from behind by a vehicle. Police officers with the East Precinct responded to the accident.
Police say Harrington was hit by a Toyota RAV4 being driven by 24-year-old Derek Johnson. Johnson was driving west on Foster behind Harrington when he struck the bicycle’s rear tire, causing the crash.
We wish Joey a speedy recovery and hopefully he'll be back on the microphone as soon as possible.
