Minor League Baseball Player Shatters Bat, Hits Home Run

It's not often that you get to see a baseball player hit a home run after breaking his bat but that is what happened to minor leaguer, Jordan Pacheco.

Pacheco who plays for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox did just that in a game against the Salt Lake City Bees last Friday night:

Minor League Baseball Team Wears Harry Potter-Inspired Jerseys

For those of you that are fans of Harry Potter, this might be the only time it gets mentioned on this site, so enjoy it.

The Fresno Grizzlies are a minor league affiliate of the San Francisco Giants and recently they celebrated a "Harry Potter Theme Night" where they celebrated everyone's favorite wizard. They even wore Harry Potter style uniforms which can be seen in the below picture:

The Human Home Run Goes Deep At Minor League Baseball Game

It's not often that we get show a video of a human being getting shot out of a cannon on this site but when it does happen, we have to show it.

During last night's Lowell Spinners affair against the Connecticut Tigers, David "The Bullet" Smith was launched from a cannon over the right field wall into a net spanning over 195 feet:

When Baseball Celebrations Go Wrong: Minor League Edition

Earlier in the week, the New Orleans Zephyrs were celebrating a victory over the Omaha Storm Chasers when disaster struck.

First baseman Josh Kroeger was celebrating with his teammate when an awkwardly timed jump ended with him sustaining a knee injury that sent him to disabled list:
