Tron legancy trailer| Tron legacy reviews| tron great film for families: The “Tron Legacy” reviews are in, and while Disney probably has a blockbuster on its hands, it doesn’t have a terrific movie, merely a good one. The effects are fun, and fans of the original “Tron” will like it – and so will their kids, whom they’ll probably bring to this one. As a family movie you could do worse, so long as your kids are in the older age range. Here’s a “Tron” review roundup:
Chicago Sun-Times: I expect “Tron: Legacy” to be a phenomenon at the box office for a week or so. It may not have legs, because its appeal is too one-dimensional for an audience much beyond immediate responders.
Wired: The motion picture industry has undergone several revolutions in the past 28 years. All of them have been brought to bear on Tron: Legacy. The result is a truly fantastic experience.
Entertainment Weekly: The sequel, more successfully (if less innocently), injects you into a luminous action matrix and asks you to be happy with the ride. But it’s easier now not to object. At the movies, the fantastical-synthetic has become a state of mind that we’re never allowed to escape.
Film.com: Legacy is the best and worst Hollywood has to offer. The positive aspects include amazing visuals, eye-catching CGI, and one of the few legitimate uses of 3-D we’ve seen this year. The negatives are a complete lack of story cohesion, a bloated running time, stilted dialogue, and a myriad of muddled themes.
