I think USCIS should be blamed because all those previous years visa numbers which are lost because they can't adjudicate the cases on time. We invested our time, resource and money for each and every step. We pay social security and taxes to run the economy. Most of us are here in "UNKNOWN" status but we are called resident and spent many many years.
I have mixed feeling on if government/congress is serious about fixing this issue because 10 years doesn't sound very positive.
It looks like immigration issue is hen that give golden egg ($ for the economy) Paper wok, Attorney frees postal fees gov fess etc. Does anyone would like to fix it?
Please share your thought.
1) Will the green card be worth after 10 years?
2) Is there any grantee this mess will be cleared in 10 Years?
3) Is time spent in path to immigration will be joyful and peaceful?
4) The time away from back home Close family and you may have already missed your nearest and dearest family function. your child niece, nephew and other close relative bonding that your had when you'r child and had all this which you may be sacrifice for the path to immigration
Please rethink what important and how to get an attention from the right people

There is a 7% limit per country. This 7% is applicable when all countries have large number of applicants. I case of several countries not filling their own 7% limit, those numbers have gone to India and China whose demand far outstrips 7% of 140,000 EB visas.
In 2004 and 2005, India and China already got way more than 7% since there wasnt much demand from other countries.
I think India got 42,000 EB visas out of 140,000, the visas that overflowed from those countries whose demand was negligible. Do you want this to be in IV goals still and draw attention to yourself especially since India got almost 30% of EB visas? Coz if you do so, someone will say : What are you talking about...what 7%? Indian employees consumed 30% of EB visa numbers in previous years.

The RFE as per my employer is about Vendor/Client Details and a latest paystub from the current job. Since I started working already and was getting paid, my employer generated a paystub and supplied the same.

This sound like a good idea...our first option is to attend the rally. But if for some reason we are not able to make it...we can identify a place in all the states on the same day to show support for the DC rally.. I tried to find someone in Buffalo...but noone responded..dont know whether I will be able to attend the rally in DC.

I got my PCC in San Francisco Indian Consulate last year assuming that I might get the appointment. but never happened until now. I am not sure that is still valid PCC. I might have to go to India and then apply for a new one from the local police station.
Is it not much easier to get the PCC renewed (basically a new PCC from here)?

I called USCIS customer service number and asked If I can speak to that specific adjudicator customer rep directed the call to another Officer and that lady understood the issue and mentioned that I should have called before i saw denial notice she might have helped by reviewing the decision made by adjudicators but now is too late and asked me to follow the steps mentioned on denial notice which is appeal.

nixstorI don't have any input on that, my attorney told me he is busy, he has other applications that flood his office, even if he writes a letter, the wont do anything in USCIS, go for FP and explain to them the situation. He also said I should have looked at it! bummer

We are all aware of what going on at the Senate floor and also about the ammendments that put forth on the floor. So my question is clear anc simple what ammendment is supported by CORE IV and what are we looking for.
Because the passing of the current version of the bill will effect all the old cases which many people are in and I wont allow that to happen. I will try my best to avoid this situation to happen. Even though i have a MAster in engineering I will not support SKIL progran that will void the previously pending cases. Good try core IV yto make member to work towards the betterment of few people You know what such people are called" SELFFISH". Guys beware on whaT ACTIONS YOU ARE DOING SO THAT YOU WONT REPENT.
Please feel free to influence any bill any way you please. Seems like you are in cotrol of your destiny. When you point that SELFISH finger at the IV core, also look at the three fingers pointing back at you.
The IV position on the pertinent amendments already discussed on the floor is on the the front page of the website.
If your are privy to the amendments being negotiated behind the scenes, please be kind and share the information with us. None of us has any information on these and as such cannot take a position.

I missed the last rally and I regret it. There was a moment in time when we were all really energized. The flower campaign was brilliant. But now we seem to have lost that fire - me included! I dont even remember my dates anymore. I know we have a serious problem of getting people together for anything. But starting small in our own cities and connecting to a national IV would probably work. I am here in Sterling Heights, MI (Detroit Metro Area) and I am willing to host people in my area It will be great if others in other cities can do that too. I am dre. ming, but think about it if this works. We can march to washigton again such large numbers that everyone will notice. I really think its time to get together and do something. Bouncing ideas on IV boards is great but lets meet and get to know each other and see if can talk about this problem face to face across the country. Thats what grassroot effort it!. If nothing, we will find new friends in each other. I hope to find that fire in us again and I thank you for reading my post!

Not sure about SS benefit. You can't do anything anyway with it now. If you are young, consider it gone even if you were US citizen at the moment.
If you withdraw your 401K now, you will have to pay taxes, plus 10% penalty probably. Depanding on your employer's 401K program policy, some allows money to stay if it exceeds certain minimum. Be sure to check the vesting policy. You can always roll it over to an IRA of your choice.

this is going to be a bit complicated but I'd appreciate any thoughts (or even just the advice to go get a/which lawyer for this one)....
Anyway, I am on an H1B right now but am going to switch jobs. My understanding is that once the new petition is filed I can start working for the second employer. I also would like to travel home during this time... So, here are my questions:
- Can you work for 2 employers at the same time while making the switch?
- How long does it take to file a petition (can i/my new employer do that myself)? If no, any advice on which lawyer to pick??? Anybody heard of Visa PRO?
- Is traveling to my home country OK while filing the petition or is it better to wait until I come back?
