This is not freedom of speech what that guy said. He is raising very bad allegations (without any proof) against the very organization that we have tremendous respect and we all stand for.

no receipt notice yet. Checks haven't been cashed as of this morning.
i sent application for me and my wife on july 6th NSC my I 140 was applied in TSC . i am NJ resident. wife took info pass appointmnet as no check cashed, no notice receive. started worrying now. as NSC is updating even new applications no sure if my case was transferred to TSC or not . any body in same boat ? application was signed by R williams in NSC.

My application reached USCIS on July 5th, at 11.11 am at Nebraska SC signed by F.HEINAUER. But so far Checks have not been cashed

This is not correct from legal point of view. I would put this statement as
-- Must have valid work authorization. Sponsorship for any work visa is not offered.
Employer can not ask for kind of authorization. It could be, EAD, OPT, GC etc. As long as applicant is qualified as per I-9 form, kind of authorization should not matter.
Of course, H-1B applicant can not apply for this job position since visa sponsorship is not available.

It is great to see human nature at work. Once united and making phone calls for the 3 lofgren Bills...the same folks are mulling it out over EB2, EB3 and how most of the folks dont even deserve to be either....Interesting fodder for Anti Immi folks.....
W/o demand there is no supply or acceptance of Foriegn nationals in an alien land. Obviously there are some that abuse teh system...
But that is not the intention of IV to solve for rooting the abusers out. Its the USCIS's job to do that. Like they abolished the Subs labor process.....they may as well make EB1, 2 and 3 more restrictive they actually did make EB2 more restrictive when PERM was launched...
So lets all concentrate on what our role in this whole mess is..that is to support IV wholeheartedly...Please focus on the big picture and enjoy life!!!!!!!!!

Usually it takes 2-3 weeks to receive the receipt numbers. My lawyer sent my file on 06/06/2007 which should have reached USCIS on 06/07/2007. I am not expecting a receipt number before third week of June. I will post here when I receive my receipt.

I only took Bank Statements. In my case they did not even ask to see those.
Actually in the landing paper there is a place where teh officer needs to sign of funds as well.
some places officers dont ask for it and in other places like rainbow bridge they do ask for it. However it is justa small formality...i just tooka printout of the online statement and that was fine with them.

My friend sent her package on may 18th and she saw on uscis that they dated the receipt as june 1st... so that can give you an idea.
I sent mine on June 1st....nothing yet.
on june 6th the immigration.com breaking new claims there is a backlog of receipt for up to 45 days.
I am expecting to get mine at least by june 30th because with the flood of applications on july first....whoi knows

Nice assumptions...but we need evidence. Do any USCIS documents say they would need proof of a *running* income? (After all, you don't have paystubs for a future job in same/similar occupation.) Since GC is for *future* job, why can't self-employment in same/similar occupation, under AC21 and with *projected* revenues, be enough? Do they ask for paystubs and proof of long-term commitments/contracts in EVL-RFE?
Pls note that with current recession/depression, the "prevailing wages" for same/similar occupations have gone down--drastically in some cases (esp. IT). Also, you could open/register your LLC (by spending $400) for your self-employment to sound more "legitimate"--but that's certainly not a requirement.
