Once you get the I 485 receipt..you can apply EAD on your own..Why you need to beg for that to the Employer. Let it go. File for your I 485 and get the receipt. That's enough to keep you in status.

First check with the school if they will allow you to attend on EAD. I'll like to know what you finally decide. I was in a similar situation 3 yrs back and decided to go part-time instead. Finished the program and my gc is still pending :(

Also do i need to add my tax return, my I20 and my paystubs with application. She just came into country so she does not have any tax rerurn of her own nor any I20 or any paystubs of her own.. Please suggest.

The amended H-1B by itself will not be an issue when it comes to GC.
My question was more about why for "rajuseattle" there was going to be AC21 since his job location has not changed.
In your case, you have mentioned that you are going to accept more responsibility than that has been stated in PERM, so AC21 is inevitable. As long as you are in the same line of work, I think you should be okay.

If you get married before your GC is approved you're fine. You have something like 6 months grace period after your GC is aprroved to file for her I-485. It is better to keep all of her records ready so that you can file as soon as your PD becomes current.

Just wanted to know if some one like me who have masters or more (phD) in Engineering and have backgorund in bioprocessing or food processing as well as research and academics . What may be the best IT options.
Reason I am asking is with current PhD and Academic jobs it is lot less pay (say in around 50 K). So wanted to explore other option if some how get laid off or fired one day which may be comming soon in a year or so.
though I had not done any programmming any day, I did little bit in my bachelors and at that time I thought I can do it well. But than really never had chance to work on programming stuff, as worked more with applied engineering in bio and food area.

The consulate usually do need more info if you work for Pharmaceucatical or Biotech company. I work for a Pharmaecutical company and when I had gone for my Visa interview they were very specific to ask me if my work deals in any kind of research in chemicals etc. Since I work in the IT department and has nothing to do with reasearch they did not ask for any more info.

1. Manner of Last Entry : I think it should be PAR:PAROLEE YES. I USED SAME FOR MY WIFE
2. Current Immigration Status : Again think should be PAR:PAROLEE YES
3. There is a field where it asks for previous EAD's. I am not sure of the date when i applied last time, what date i should put, the date from which EAD is valid ?
I take this has to be the date of application. We didn't remember the exact application date for one of the EADs - we entered an approximate Date
4. Also i have applied for EAD twice, do we need to put the information for both of them. The information is not required...but its better to enter it
5. Other Names/Aliases : I think it should be 'None' in my case as i never had any other name, am i right or should it be left blank.
6. for Eligibility status i think the value should be : (c)(9) FILED I-485 YES

its not mandatory to work while on EAD but did you do a job on EAD at any point of time to get out of H1 status?

I am also from NJ-I have to get FP from HAckensack-NJ thats my nearest .
When we called USCIS she said its delay because of traffic in ASC in our location.So they have to correspond with them,when ever they get a reminder in their system.
So as of now they havnt mailed...waiting for FP.
I hope the process does not delay further beacuse of this FP...I wish they do fast.
I just wonder NJ is a populated area and they have only two ASC...one in newark and another in Hackensack.I hope it doesnt take months for this FP.
Does name check start after FP?
My ND is Sep/11.
