Called the service center.Muiltiple times.Opened SR twice still no FP yet.
Mine is a NSC->TSC case.
I will try calling them again today.

I actually did call in mid Nov. and opened a SR. I then got a canned response about a month ago on how the case is within processing time and blah blah... I call again this morning and apparently their system was experiencing some kind of problem and the rep. wasn't able to open a new SR although she did apologize and thought that 5 months is an excessive amount of time to wait for biometrics. She then transferred me to an IO who based on the service center processing times posted online told me that they're currently processing May 07 and my receipt date of July 12 is not up yet.... What a bunch of BS!
Call them a lot of us did, when we got moved from one center (receipt notice) to another for processing. You should get a FP notice soon after you talked to them!

The original intent of the thread is flawed and against the very purpose of creating such a thread. We have explained you during the phone conversation that it is not the right time to pick up country limits issue. We have run this by our strategist again and they have also advised us that its not the right time for this issue. Others on the forum, including unitednations, have also made an attempt to explain you the issues we are all dealing with. You are free to do whatever you think is best for you. We think that your actions are likely to harm the community effort. So in the best interest of the community effort, please be cautioned that we will be forced to ban you from this site if you continue this on the forum.

During your conversation with mirage, did you explain to him why it would hurt our cause ? From our discussion in the group, it didn't seem he was aware why IV core was against it.

There have been so many divisive threads on this forum. IV admins never thought of banning such members.

Hi everyone,
Iam a July 3rd filer and the moneyorders for me and my wife has been cashed on September 28th. We had send 2 moneyorders for $745. Waiting for the receipts to come. Hope all of you get your receipts very soon.
Very sorry guys!!But all the information that I got from lawyer's office was wrong. They did not send my I-485 on July 2nd as I thought. When I got the receipts the received date was July 20th. Receipts are from Texas. I hope you all get your receipts soon.

My employer is also behaving exactly similar way... Spend the money from your own Pocket ( 350 med + 385 ) around $750 and ask them to just
give the Future Employment Verification Letter for 485.
I'm finishing up all forms and other activities Like Medical , Birth Certificate etc..
After that pounce on your employer for Letter + the fees for 485 + fees for your own attorney fees ... If they disagrees come to a deal with just for the Letter... You are all set then !!
If they still dont agree i'll tell them that you are resigning and immigrating to Canada (Tell them that your Canadian PR is almost approved and you have a distant relative there)

As now the dates are current, my employer is trying to exploit me.
He is not responding to my mails, and not picking my phone.
Last modified message which I got from him is that:
The whole financials for the company changes with filing 485 for you immediately. So, it is definitely a loss for company to process your 485 immediately.

In my case, i do not have a valid H-1B visa stamp. I recently visited India and used Advance Parole. Questions related to this

I agree absolutely. Living right here near DC and being a victim of the present USCIS mess, I still did not know about this campaign until a family member from India mentioned about it after reading it in the local newspaper.
I quickly signed up on this site and sent the flowers to be delivered yesterday.

I have been in US since 1998 as well and I have a EB2 PD of Nov 2006. I keep myself healthy and happy. To me if there is no work here there will be work somewhere else and if there is no growth this country there will be growth somewhere else. Cheer up buddy :-)

I'm pretty close to getting clinical depression because of this game played by USCIS, Labor Dept, FBI and my own bad luck.
SKILL bill, OMNIBUS, etc. comes and goes. IV does seem to be doing things to lobby for the community, but let's face one reality. Like a news article said, no one in congress or senate wants to touch immigration even with a long pole until 2009.
The US has been very good to me (other than the GC part), more than my home country (India) which is why I'm still here.
Have invested too much of time in this country to just pack up and go. Just curious if any of you feel this way? How do you handle such depressing feelings?

Write letters to Ombudsman, USCIS, DHS, Senators. Keep writing until they listen
Somebody gave a red at "05:13 AM" with comments: "letters..stupid idea?" - I am not here to become famous and become IV-CEO or something :-) so red does not matter. This is height of someone's frustration though ...instead of coming up with some idea - just criticize other's ideas..and that too at 5AM in the morning (or around that time in different timezone)..you must be a manager dude :D

For god's sake, if you intend to send hundreds of emails and letters and call yourselves highly skilled immigrants, can you take the time to have your letter proof read by someone? If not anyone, at least by Microsoft Word?? I start reading the text of some of the emails and shake my head at some of the gobbledegook you are spewing. It is counter productive to say the least.

I expect the other set to be cleared some time Mon-Tues
