Lotterypost.com reports legislation that would allow people to buy New Jersey lottery tickets on the Internet and by other electronic means is continuing to advance in the state Assembly.
The Regulatory Oversight and Gaming Committee approved the measure this month and referred it to the chamber's Appropriations Committee. The legislation would require state lottery officials to implement a system that would allow people to buy tickets via the Internet, e-mail, text messaging or other electronic methods.

According to megamillions.com, the last Mega million winners from New Jersey were Linda and John Feeney of Passaic County of the $12 million jackpot from the drawing held on September 25, 2007. The Feeneys came forward at Fontantarosa's Grocery & Deli to stake their claim to their lottery jackpot.
